Jessica + Erick | Romantic Big Sur Day After Session

Jess, Erick and I spoke at length about the idea of an intimate wedding. Of course it’s something Keith and I are passionate about, it’s what we did, but we don’t see any other wedding as less. After speaking with their families these two decided it was best to include their family (which was awesome because their families are amazing and so loving!) and begin planning a bigger, more formal wedding. When my couples are torn between tradition and intimate connection I always suggest a day after session. The experience and photographs that an elopement comes with, after the wedding day pressures are over. It’s perfect and stays true to my approach with balancing tradition and non-tradition.

Jess and Erick met us on the Central Coast and we took them to one of our favorite little beaches. It’s almost always completely private with views of the rugged coast. It’s beautiful, and we’ve spent countless hours walking hand in hand across the stretch of sand. Photographing our clients here makes my heart sing! Sharing it with people we love… Ugh, there’s nothing better!

My advice to my clients:
1. Don’t ever feel like you’re settling. There’s always an option! Don’t want an engagement session? Do a day after session instead. Want a more intimate wedding experience, do a day after session. Want epic photos in rad places? Day freaking after session!
